How do I add UTM tracking to my campaign?

Tracking is one of the most important aspects of a successful campaign because it allows you to review your performance and to optimize accordingly.

Outbrain Amplify - UTM Tracking

Begin building your UTM string here

Our recommended tracking code is:

Replace "your-campaign-name" with the name of your campaign

This reflects engagement data per your source of traffic. Outbrain is sending you visits, so the source is Outbrain.

This reflects engagement data per advertising medium. Outbrain is a content discovery network, so the medium is discovery.

This reflects engagement data per campaign. You'll be able to drill down to the performance per each campaign to understand their effectiveness relative each other, and relative their specific KPIs. Your default tracking code will inherit your campaign name for this variable so that you may accurately track it.

This reflects engagement data per the specific titles or pieces of content in your campaign. You'll be able to view which headlines are driving the most engaged audiences to optimize upon these copies, and to disable those headlines which may not be driving engaged readers.

This reflects engagement data per publisher source. You'll be able to view which publishing sections are sending the most engaged traffic and how these contribute to your KPIs. You'll later be able to optimize upon this data and adapt the insights for future campaigns.

You can also change your UTM tracking any time after your campaign submission. Locate the campaign and click the pencil icon to the right of the campaign name to open the campaign’s settings.

You may adjust or add a new UTM code in the "Tracking” section.

Save your modification by clicking on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the screen. Your tracking code will be appended automatically to any pieces of content submitted to your campaign.
